Do your puppies Demand to Win? What makes a “show dog” is that attitude that just dares the judge not to put him up and that’s something that can be taught, if you start early and focus on the right things. Perfect for puppies, novice dogs, or lackluster show dogs needing a "re-tread."
This bundle Includes our three most popular show training videos:
- Killer Free Stacks
- Stack and Deliver
- Winning In Motion
"Killer Free Stacks" and "Stack and Deliver" cover presentation, free stacking, and hand stacking, and "Winning in Motion" covers recognizing correct gait and training puppies and dogs to gait correctly in the ring. Each film stands alone and may be watched separately. But for the ultimate show training education we recommend all three videos together with Attention is the Mother of All Behaviors.
Killer Free Stacks
Killer Free Stacks - In this two episode series, we demonstrate how to teach killer free stacks with the undeniable confidence that will stand out in the show ring. This series is mostly demonstrated by our 6-7 week old puppies but is suitable for any beginning show dog of any age. Also perfect for “re-treads” on show dogs who lack sparkle in the ring.
In part one, we demonstrate teaching the free stack with a litter of 6 week old puppies with varying degrees of experience, so you can see the entire process up through walking into the stack and teaching the puppy to allow you to set feet. Also included are demonstrations with an adult show dog and a 9 month old puppy.
In part two, we see the next steps with the puppies at 7 weeks. We focus on adding a leash, moving in front of the puppy, holding the stack for slightly longer periods, teaching the release, and examining mouths.
Two episodes included - 118 minutes. Originally broadcast live on September 22nd and September 29th 2015.
Stack and Deliver
Stack and Deliver - Are you making a good case for your dog in the show ring? Every time you walk into the ring, you’re entering into a silent dialogue with the judge and telling him or her why that judge should put your dog up. The way you train and present your dog is making a case for your dog to win - Stack and Deliver shows you how to present the best case possible!
In this two episode series, we build on the lessons begun with our young puppies in Killer Free Stacks and demonstrate how to teach older puppies or adult dogs stacks that are correct and exude that undeniable confidence that will stand out in the show ring. You’ll learn about basic canine structure and how to recognize virtues and faults in your dog, and how to best present the dog you have.
In part one, we continue our free stack work and talk about canine structure, reading the ring so you get the best stack, and presenting fronts.
In part two, we delve into proper bait handling and common handling mistakes that can throw dogs off balance, and then move on to teaching young dogs hand stacking and the pros and cons of different methods. We also share techniques for building focus and confidence in young or inexperienced dogs.
Two episodes included - 125 minutes. Originally broadcast live on July 6th and July 12th 2016.
Winning In Motion
Winning In Motion - This is the video I wish I could have seen when I was learning to handle dogs - it lays out everything from how to teach your dog to move, to what to do when in the show ring, but it's not just for beginners. I've been showing my own dogs for almost 20 years but I still learned a lot and picked up lots of tips when filming thanks to the great insights of the other breeders who participated in the broadcasts!
- Canine Gaits Explained With Slow Motion Video
